I have a client with a 2013 Ram pickup that has lost all keys. It uses FOBIK. I have a DS708 and it will not auto detect the vehicle, which isn't a problem except I have several options for body style for RAM. I tried all options. I located the module (RF Hub) which shows the code for a bad key as I was trying to program a new key. Under that module there are no options to program or delete any keys. I even tried a 2012 as the manufacture date was 10/12 but when I access the WCM menu it can't find the module leading me to think that the 2013 RF module was correct. My last update was a couple months ago. I haven't had any problems with Chrysler/Dodge/Ram/Jeep products doing keys up to this point. I know that they changed things in 2013 and a new key is being used.Tags: DS708 , Ram , key , immobilizer , Dodge , programming

Make sure you have no devices plugged into the USB ports. Chrysler issued a service bulletin about this issue. -

I'm curious that when you updated Chrysler on your DS 708 two months ago , was it just to update it from what it had on it out of the box? What is the current Chrysler update version number ? My DS 708 Chrysler old version number is V7.10 and within the past 3 years only increased one hundredth of a decimal point to level V7.11and Ford only went up a tenth and few hundredths of a decimal point From V10.00 to like V10.12. I was hoping to buy the final year of updates for it, but if it is just going to remain static at the software levels it was at over a year ago and not get newer coverage than what it had at that time , forget it unless newer 2017 car coverage is guaranteed to be added to it this year .
